SLDocs Free Tier Pledge
Effective Date: August 26, 2026
Last Updated: August 26, 2026
How Free works
The Free plan requires no payment card and no payment. A Free account must sign in at least once every 36 months. If that period passes, access pauses through a soft lock, but the account's documents and recipient designations remain preserved and the account can be reactivated without charge.
What SLDocs commits to
- We do not delete your documents merely because you stop paying, lapse, or stop using the account. Your uploaded documents remain encrypted and restorable on reactivation. We delete them when you request deletion, subject to the limited retention and extraordinary-inactivity provisions in the Terms and Privacy policies.
- You can export your documents. You can export your own documents through the Service. If SLDocs winds down, the Terms provide meaningful notice and a documented export path.
- No silent change to the Free plan. If SLDocs changes the Free plan, it will tell affected existing Free users clearly and in advance, including what will change and when.
What this pledge does not promise
- It does not promise that every feature, limit, or account condition will remain unchanged forever.
- It does not promise that every future feature will be included on Free.
- It does not prohibit upgrade prompts or changes needed for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, service availability, or future product design.
- It does not promise that the Free plan or any account will remain free indefinitely.
- It does not promise that SLDocs will operate forever. The wind-down commitments in the Terms apply if operations cease.
Any change must continue to honor the document-preservation, export, and advance-notice commitments above. Questions may be sent to legal@sldocs.com.
Please don't email sensitive personal or health information or documents — email isn't a secure channel and messages are stored unencrypted at rest. Use your in-product vault instead.
